Why Do I Need A Headshot?

Professional headshots are more than mugshots. Don't think back to those school photos of cheesy grins and flat lighting. A professional headshot or portrait should tell the world all about you and your brand. Headshots and portraits are an opportunity for you to put a face to your name, show your personality, and stay on brand.

A professional headshot is also a great way to start communicating to your potential clients. Your photo can show trust, competence, and likeability. Your business becomes so much more than a name, logo and website. It becomes about you, your team, and your personal values.

Julia's Professional Photography Studio:

Professional Portrait Studio Melbourne Julia Nance Portraits runs out of a professional portrait studio based in Lilydale, Victoria. You will have the opportunity to relax and step back, soaking in the wonderful natural atmosphere. No more city crowds, paid parking, or awful traffic.

The studio is surrounded by beautiful paddocks and Australian bushland. A view of the picturesque Dandenong Ranges on the horizon greets you on arrival. I get so many comments on the beauty found here. You might even find that you don't want to leave!

Inside the studio you will discover high-end equipment, alongside a clean, modern interior. With a photography degree as the backbone to my craft, you won't need to worry about a thing. As a professional portrait photographer I not only take care of the equipment and technical side of photography, but I am also able to capture and bring out your best expressions and pose with careful coaching.

In the sessions at my studio, we have the options to utilise both indoor and outdoor environments if you require, and for no extra charge. If my studio isn't the best option for you, I can travel to your desired location, and set up a mobile studio or shoot outdoors.

Why Hire A Professional?

  1. A professional photographer understands lighting, colour and composition, and will utilize them for outstanding results.
  3. There is more to portrait photography than owning a camera. Using high-end lenses and lighting equipment goes a long way to achieve outstanding results. Great lenses show sharpness and professionalism in the final photographs.
  5. A headshot photographer will coach and direct you into a great pose and make you camera confident!
  7. Professional results help show your competence, and generate trust in you and what your business offers.
  9. Cutting-edge retouching polishes your final photographs, and brings your brand together. A professional won't take shortcuts, use cheap filters, or blur out your skin. Professional retouching shows you as your best self, in a natural way.
  11. There is no need to cut yourself short with your image. If you want to take your career seriously, a professional photographer is the first step to your portrait needs.
