Sessions:

ME! Just kidding!

But honestly, I just really care. I want you to walk away with images you love. My goal is for you to fall in love with images of yourself, to make you comfortable, and to showcase you at the top of your field.

Other than this, it’s my approach: no outfit limits, no strict time limits, studio & outdoor options. Professional retouching and a pre-shoot survey. The whole process is tailored, and I’ve worked hard to refine my process to make it the best I can.

Choosing a photographer is a completely personal preference. I stand by that you should choose someone who fits in with you, your values, and your personality. But let’s discuss a little bit about working with me.

I take pride in my work, my process and results. I listen to what people want, but can offer guidance and my professional opinion. My background as a trained professional photographer helps in the skills department too.

In all sessions held at my studio:

  • Pre-shoot guide & familiarisation survey
  • No outfit limits
  • No strict time limits
  • A range of background options (including studio and outdoors in a single session)
  • Posing guidance, prompting and advice while we go
  • Professional retouching on the final images
  • Tea, coffee and water while we work together.

To learn more about the process of my sessions, please see the sessions page.

To be quick about it: my images are professionally retouched, by hand, to a high standard. It takes a bit of time to finalise the results of each image, as my attention to detail is quite high. There’s no shortcuts taken, and I keep things natural and clean.

I’ve priced everything in relation to my experience, the results, and my cost of doing business.

“You on your best day”.

There aren’t any horrible filters or blurring tools used in my retouching process. I’ll remove things like blemishes and flyaways. I’ll also colour correct and adjust contrast and level.

Yes! With all my headshot and branding packages, you may choose extra images. I often find people fall in love with their images and do want to order extras. You can add extras during the proofing process, or select extras at the booking stage.

Yes! We can certainly do a range of crops – including full-length shots. My headshot sessions are not limited to strictly head and shoulders.
We can discuss this before and during the session too to make sure you get exactly what you need.

This really depends on you, and what you need. Most headshot sessions run for about an hour. For fuller portfolios with lots of looks and changes, it can be around 1.5 to 2 hours.

For corporate shots with multiple people at a workplace, shooting time per person is generally much shorter (10-15m). This enables us to achieve one great shot per person while not taking up too much valuable work time.

Yes! I would love to hear about your ideas and desires for your shoot! My pre-shoot survey has a section just for this. Or you can always jot them to me at the time of booking, or via email at any stage.

You’ll get a detailed PDF guide after you book with a bit of extra info on all of this.

As a guide, bring along a range of outfit options that we can try. A hairbrush, ties, and pins are great to have. If you require it, touchup makeup and various lip shades if that’s what you’d like.

For branding sessions, we can discuss any props you might like too. This could range from laptops/phones/cameras to various accessories with your branding colours.

Studio:

My home studio is located in Lilydale Victoria, not far from The York on Lilydale. The exact address will be provided upon booking, so I can ensure privacy during all my shoots (no walk-ins). See my Studio page to learn a little more and see some photos!

Getting to the studio via public transport is tricky, however, there is plenty of free parking available at the property.
If you do require to use public transport, I can arrange pickup from a local train station. please get in touch prior to arrange a pickup service for an additional fee.

My studio is surrounded by beautiful natural settings and gardens, as well as a range of textures that can be used for soft backdrops. Outside my studio is an undercover area too, with lots of rustic options that make for great backgrounds – especially when blurred with beautiful bokeh. Check out my portfolio to see the types of backgrounds we’ve created outdoors.

I want to make sure you get the best out of your session, so sometimes a reschedule will be the best option. If the weather forecast is looking poor for your scheduled shoot I will get in touch with you to come to a resolution. You can choose to switch to a studio session, but we can always reschedule if that’s your preference.

In the case that the weather does spoil shoot plans, we can reschedule for another time with no loss of deposit.

Yes – for all my packages that include digital files you can select the images you would like! You will be able to select your finals from a proof-sheet which will be emailed to you after your session.

For Corporate staff headshots, I am happy to select the final shots for you with my professional opinion, or I can send image proofs for your selection – whatever is the preference for your business.

For digital images (headshots and branding portraits), generally, I try to process your final retouched images in 3-4 working days.
