Office Headshots in Melbourne: What To Expect
Office Headshots in Melbourne: What To Expect
How does it work, to have a photographer come on-site to your office to photograph your staff?
I can’t speak for all photographers, but I can certainly speak about my own process. I offer on-site office photography, capturing staff headshots, action images and group photography. When I’m working with teams, I regard my photography as collaborative, personal and relaxed.
A lot of clients see the benefit in having me on-location at their offices and workplaces. It allows for streamlined scheduling, and there is a huge benefit in incorporating the business location within the photos too.
In this blog post, I am discussing how my staff headshot process works. If you would like to request a quote, you can learn more about what I offer, and see examples of my work on my Staff Headshot page here.

Office Headshots Process:
1 – Booking:
The process for office headshots is quite simple. We start out with a quote, which you can put a request for through via this webpage. We might have a quick chat on the phone, where I’ll learn about what you need, and then I’ll put together a proposal and quote for your team’s consideration.
2 – Planning:
Once we’ve gone through the quote process, we’ll plan in more detail. Together we determine the style of your staff headshots (background, crop length and lighting), and discuss any other needs (such as in-situ branding photography of your team at work). This might include putting together a shot list and gathering inspiring images if needed.
3 – On-Site Photoshoot:
On the day of the photoshoot, I arrive at your office 30-40 minutes prior to our first scheduled staff member for setup. I’ll bring the equipment needed, whether it’s a full kit with lighting and a portable background, or if we’re going for a natural setup.
Your staff are guided through the process, and we review the images together as we go. My main priority is that your staff are happy with their headshots.
4 – Image Selection & Editing:
Your team have control over final image selections. Most staff select during the photoshoot, and in some cases, I set up an online gallery for post-shoot review.
For editing, the final images are retouched to showcase professionalism with a natural feel. Your staff can make requests if they have anything in particular. In general, I’ll touch up blemishes, cuts and other temporary marks.
If your headshots have a plain background, I’ll ensure we get a consistent tone across every shot for an exact match (which we’ll then apply to future shoots too!).
5 – Image Delivery:
Image delivery is super easy. You’ll receive a Dropbox link or online gallery to access and download your final images, professionally retouched in high resolution and sized ready for web applications.

The priority:
For me, my main priority is that we fit the brief and your staff are happy. I pride myself on customer service, and for providing a streamlined process for your business.
