Melbourne Headshot Photography

I visited Julia's studio a few weeks ago for some headshots. Straight away she made me feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. She understood the style I was going for, and I am wrapped with the photos! Julia is a very creative and talented photographer, and just a lovely person all together, I 100% recommend her!

Julia Nance Portraits was the single best experience I have had infront of a camera. I have avoided getting my headshots taken for years, often taking my own or using stock photos on my website. However Julia set me up with some amazing shots which have already generated more work!

Loved the experience, the location and the relaxed atmosphere. And most of all, love the photos that were taken. So hard to choose.

Had the privilege of having my portrait taken by Julia. She has a fantastic studio that's recently been done up in Lilydale which was a great space to get creative in - I love bright colours, and enjoyed playing around with her various backdrops. I would give 10 stars if I could. Julia is a thorough professional with a remarkable ability to pay attention to details. She made me feel comfortable and allowed me more than enough time to try and perfect various angles. Her studio location is quite picturesque, ideal for outdoor photoshoot and my dog enjoyed playing in the outdoors too. Indoor studio is suited for professional shots. She took numerous shots and showed me the results to select. She advised me on how to improve my posture and get the right expression for the camera. If you are camera shy, don't worry she will make you relax. We also tried different outfits during the shoot. She tries to understand the client by knowing more about them and their needs through a questionnaire. I found that she was able to produce the exact results that I was looking for with a quick turnaround time. I got the final product within two days of the shoot. All in all, an outstanding experience. 10 stars.

I was in need of a professional head shot. I googled search for someone who gave the right vibe and had diverse work. Turned out Julia was 1.5 hours away. 100% worth the trip. Julia listened to me - I asked for shots that make me look relaxed, soft and approachable. She delivered. She also has great expertise and knew that the slightest changes to hair, outfit and jewellery can make all the difference. She took her time, did not pressure me and turned to initial PDF's around in a matter of hours. The landscape around her studio is magnificent for outdoor shots. I am thrilled and will use her again when I update.

Julia was terrific to work with. As someone who hates getting photographed, Julia made me feel relaxed and comfortable and I never felt rushed. Weeks later, after the shoot, when I was trying to choose my final photos I had a fair few questions and Julia was always quick to get back to me with her very helpful answers. My biggest problem was that I had too many good photos to choose from thanks to Julia's skill as a photographer.

Julia has photographed two of my daughters for their agency pictures and we had such a wonderful experience. Not only are the photos top quality, she is kind, caring and incredibly supportive/helpful in making the girls feel very comfortable.
